Maintenance Engineer

Job Responsibilities

- This position is responsible for supervising and performing maintenance responsibilities including predictive maintenance equipment repair and rebuild electrical and maintenance training programs.
- Responsible for applications center maintenance including utilities and operations to reduce downtime and assure successful execution of trials.
- Troubleshooting equipment mechanically or electrically must be able to read electrical diagrams.
- Maintain a schedule and update maintenance schedule in the Food Application Center.
- Will partner with engineering team to do proper process upgrades and continuous improvement.
- Work with 3rd party vendors to assure all inspections are up to date.
- Support Food Safety and 5S activities.
- Setting up commissioning aligning and preparing trials in our facility.
- Support on smooth running of trials both internal and external to support our customers in their new projects.
- Participates in continual learning activities and applies practical application to work performed.
- Participates in all aspects of customer trials including milling and extrusion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Technical diploma or related degree in mechatronics or related field. 5 years of maintenance or field service experience ideally in the food industry.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- SAP experience is ideal.
- Experience working with PLCs preferably Allen Bradley.
- Able to work collaboratively with a team in order to achieve a common goal.
- Utilizes effective approaches for choosing a course of action for developing appropriate solutions.
- Sets clear goals and functions effectively under critical and tight deadlines heavy workloads and other pressures.
Presents information analysis and ideas in writing in a clear and concise manner.
