Job Summary
Position Summary
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to install troubleshoot repair and maintain electrical systems and production equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability supporting production operations and maintaining compliance with electrical codes safety standards and maintenance procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills experience interpreting schematics and blueprints and a solid understanding of industrial controls and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements while promoting a safe work environment.
- Install maintain troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems equipment and controls.
- Interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams blueprints and technical documentation to perform maintenance and installation activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical failures and equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing instruments and troubleshooting techniques.
- Install modify and repair wiring conduit electrical components motors transformers control panels and related equipment.
- Perform electrical bench repairs and component-level troubleshooting when required.
- Test electrical systems circuits and equipment using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters ohmmeters ammeters oscilloscopes and other testing devices.
- Ensure electrical installations and repairs comply with applicable codes standards and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records repair documentation and work order information.
- Identify equipment reliability concerns and recommend corrective actions or system improvements.
- Support production operations by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Safely utilize hand tools power tools measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance engineering and production personnel to support operational goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical Maintenance Electrical Technology Mechatronics or a related technical field; equivalent industrial electrical experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems motor controls starters overload protection systems and industrial electrical circuits.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for maintenance documentation and communication.
Preferred
- Experience in heavy manufacturing metals industrial processing automotive mining paper chemical or similar industrial environments.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) sensors industrial controls and automation equipment.
- State electrical license journeyman certification or equivalent industrial electrical credentials preferred.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical control and automation-related equipment issues.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices lockout/tagout procedures and applicable electrical codes.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk bend climb and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work from ladders platforms lifts and elevated work areas when necessary.
- Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including heat noise dust and vibration.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses hearing protection gloves hard hats and safety footwear.
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment electrical systems moving machinery and other manufacturing-related conditions.
- Regular interaction with maintenance operations engineering and production teams.
- Overtime weekend work and emergency call-in support may be required based on operational needs.
