Maintenance Director

In this role you will lead employees in maintenance housekeeping and laundry departments to maintain our community. You will also have the opportunity to bond with our residents and make a difference in their lives. Our ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent customer service and time management skills. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and who will lead by example.

Position Type: Full-Time benefits eligible position

Wage Range: $27 - $31 / hour depending on experience

Location:930 West 16th Street Hastings MN 55033

Maintenance Director Responsibilities:

• Arrangefor and/or performheating and cooling system maintenance;electrical plumbing and all other mechanical maintenance; lawn care and landscaping; snow and ice removal; clearing debris from outside areas; window cleaning.
• Respondto requestsfor maintenance in ongoing and urgent situations.
• Arrangefor plant inspections to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Performsupervisory functions for both maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Purchasesupplies as needed and researches/negotiates vendor contracts.
• Assistwith planning and managing the physical plant budget.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• 3 years experience in long term care or other facility maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED required post high school education/training preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum class SPECIAL boiler operator license is preferred or willing to obtain within 3 months required.
• Valid MN Drivers License.
• Ability to read write speak and comprehend English.
• Knowledge of mechanical and physical plant maintenance as well as state and federal building and grounds regulations.
