  • JOB GOAL:
    Perform maintenance and repairs that require a general knowledge of maintenance. Ensure clean sanitary healthy conditions throughout the facility and grounds. Work cooperatively with students staff and community.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
    2. Valid Arizona drivers license.
    3. Must pass a background clearance
    4. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
    5. Position requires the following physical demands: be able to lift up to 50 lbs. be able to exert 50-60 lbs. of force frequently push pull or otherwise move objects.
    6. Ability to walk reach climb or balance stoop or kneel.
    7. Knowledge and skills acquired through vocational courses.
    8. Specialized knowledge and skills in HVAC electrical and plumbing areas as well as in the areas of landscaping/grounds keeping areas.
    9. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    10. Ability to establish and maintain working relations with fellow workers.


    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 Days; 12 Months
    COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position
    BENEFITS:As per QCUSD District policy
    REPORTS TO: Principal
    HOURS:40 hours per week Monday - Friday 6:30 am -3:00 pm
    CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Non-exempt

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:

    1. Handle all general daily maintenance needs in addition to custodial responsibilities. Clean and maintain floors furniture woodwork equipment outside and play areas landscaping.
    2. Report all large repair needs operate hand and/or power tools or other equipment needed to maintain cleanliness and beauty of facility and grounds.
    3. Determine in conjunction with building administrator(s) the priorities on a daily short-term and long-term basis.
    4. Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
    5. Exhibit exemplary public relations; must establish positive relationships with all staff members and must abide by the rules of confidentiality.
    6. Interpret data reports regarding operating systems with the school including some knowledge of computer equipment and operations.
    7. Exercise courtesy and tact in all situations.
    8. Be familiar with all necessary safety procedures in all areas of campus operations and with all types of equipment and materials on campus and within the building; take safety considerations into account at all times.
    9. Assist in moving or arranging furniture and equipment when requested.
    10. Insure the security of the facility and take appropriate action when vandalism or theft occurs including the reporting of same to the appropriate people.
    11. Inspect the facility for safety hazards on a routine basis.
    12. Use initiative in adapting or interpreting work practices.
    13. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
