Maintenance & Calibration Technician

Mini-Circuits designs manufactures and distributes integrated circuits modules and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries Mini-Circuits products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection measurement and imaging applications including military communication guidance and electronic countermeasure systems commercial scientific military land sea and aircraft; automotive systems medical systems and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20000 customers globally through our direct sales force applications engineering staff and sales representatives as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Equipment Maintenance and Calibration Technician is responsible for maintaining repairing calibrating and routinely inspecting in-house production equipment and instruments to ensure reliable operation accurate measurements and compliance with quality standards. Working under the direction of a senior leadership this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure the traceability and calibration of all equipment that impacts product quality. This position also manages asset tracking inventory of tools and equipment and procurement coordination to support operational readiness.

Job Function:

General

• Follow all safety policies procedures and regulations including lockout/tagout (LOTO) confined space entry and PPE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and calibration processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the senior leadership.

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and industrial equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Develop maintain and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using voltage and amperage meters pressure gauges and other test equipment.
• Communicate with machine suppliers to resolve technical problems and obtain support.
• Maintain current documentation for electrical instrumentation and automation systems including process instrumentation diagrams block diagrams and drawings.
• Train production operators on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
• Identify equipment issues process improvements and potential risks escalating concerns to senior leadership when appropriate.

Calibration

• Perform and sign off on all in-house calibration for designated equipment including torque wrenches pneumatic/electric screwdrivers wrist strap testers and other applicable instruments.
• Ensure all applicable equipment is properly certified and calibrated prior to use.
• Coordinate calibration and repair schedules with external service providers.
• Provide timely notification to departments of upcoming calibration and maintenance requirements to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of all equipment calibration certification repairs and manufacturer documentation.
• Recommend calibration service providers revise equipment classification and calibration intervals and remove out-of-calibration equipment from service as needed.
• Maintain inventory of calibration equipment tools and related materials.

Asset & Inventory Management

• Enter new equipment into the asset management database and qualify and assign serial numbers to new or modified fixtures.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and end users to procure required equipment by gathering information from users and vendors.
• Receive inspect and document new calibrated or repaired equipment.
• Maintain inventory of company tools and equipment.

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology Electronics Industrial Maintenance Mechatronics or a related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 23 years of experience troubleshooting repairing and maintaining industrial machinery production equipment and facility systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• OSHA safety training or certification is a plus.
• Provenhands-on experience with the installation maintenance setup adjustment troubleshooting and repair of mechanical electrical pneumatic and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints electrical schematics pneumatic diagrams and the ability to follow SOPs and specifications.
• Comprehensive understanding of the safe operation and use of tools machinery and systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical pneumatic hydraulic and compressed air systems in industrial equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Computer proficiency including experience with maintenance or asset management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook Teams) to create emails communicate and share info update statuses and schedule/conduct meetings.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn able to take direction from senior leadership and operate independently to complete assigned tasks.

• Available to work non-standard hours (evenings weekends) to respond to and resolve emergency situations.
