Maintenance Assistant

Location: 2993 Sunset Blvd. West Columbia SC

Are you a hardworking hands-on professional with a knack for keeping things running smoothly NHC HealthCare Lexington is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team!

In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring our facility is safe comfortable and well-maintained for our patients residents and staff. If you enjoy a dynamic workday where you can work both indoors and outdoors tackle a variety of projects and make a real difference in a healthcare setting we want to hear from you!

• Inspect care for maintain and repair facility property grounds and equipment.

• Assist in planning and executing repair maintenance and new installation/construction projects.

• Perform routine groundskeeping and heavy custodial duties.

• Monitor facility systems ensuring everything functions safely and efficiently.

• Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Familiarity with local building codes ordinances and safety regulations.

• Strong working knowledge of standard maintenance supplies tools and equipment including their proper care and safe usage.

• Ability to stand walk stoop kneel bend and climb depending on the project. Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving.

• Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
