Maintenance Assistant Full Time

Are you looking for a hands-on role where your work makes a difference every day NHC HealthCare Milan is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will help maintain a safe clean comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients visitors and Partners. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands solving problems and being part of a team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will:

• Assist with general building equipment and grounds maintenance.

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance as assigned.

• Assist with light grounds care cleaning and upkeep of the property.

• Inspect property and equipment for safety concerns and report needed repairs.

• Help maintain HVAC plumbing electrical and other building systems as appropriate to experience and training.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to help minimize disruption to patient care.

• Assist with moving furniture equipment supplies and incoming or outgoing freight as needed.

• Properly use and care for maintenance tools equipment and supplies.

• Respond to maintenance needs and emergencies as directed.

• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma GED or technical school education preferred.

• Previous maintenance experience preferred but not required.

• HVAC experience is a plus.

• Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals and instructions.

• Basic knowledge of safety practices and regulations.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Dependable professional and able to interact respectfully with patients families visitors and coworkers.

• Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with maintenance work.

Full Time

Schedule may include varying shifts and occasional on-call or emergency maintenance needs based on center operations.
