Maintenance Assistant

This role helps inspect clean maintain and repair tools machinery and building systems to promote safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is dependable mechanically inclined safety-conscious and willing to learn company-specific maintenance procedures.

• Assist maintenance technicians with routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Inspect clean and perform minor repairs on equipment tools and building systems.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and report equipment or facility issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Help troubleshoot basic mechanical equipment and facility problems.
• Support the upkeep of production areas workspaces and maintenance rooms.
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules checklists and established procedures.
• Maintain clean organized and hazard-free work areas.
• Follow all company safety sanitation and food-production guidelines.
• Document completed maintenance activities and repairs as directed.
• Communicate with supervisors maintenance team members and production staff to help reduce downtime.
• Assist with other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.

• Basic experience with general maintenance building upkeep or minor repairs.
• Ability to support equipment maintenance and follow preventive maintenance procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and systems.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable detail-oriented and committed to safe work practices.
• Ability to stand bend lift and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing or food-production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance facilities manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
