Job Summary

The Loudoun County Department of General Services is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Part-Time Intermittent Courier position within the Internal Services Division.

The successful candidate will assist with accurately sorting interdepartmental mail USPS mail items and other deliverables to County offices; ensure mail is delivered on a timely basis consistent with an established delivery schedule; assist in operating mail-metering equipment; and ensure the appropriate department is charged the correct postal rates.

Flexible weekday schedule working a minimum of 13 hours up to 29 hours per week.Please note that this position requires mandatory full-time training attendance for the first two consecutive weeks of employment (Monday Friday 37.5 hours per week).

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and prefer six (6) months of related experience (preferably coordinating delivery needs/teams) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Pass pre-employment criminal and DMV background checks. Valid drivers license and good driving record (driving records will be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Complete any other required training.
