As a Machinist II you will set up adjust and operate Manual & CNC machine tools to manufacture and repair components to precise specifications. This role supports safety quality and continuous improvement within a regulated aerospace environment.

Shift requirement: Day shift M-F. This position may require flexibility to work multiple shifts as needed to support business demands. No regular shift rotation and no overnights.

What You Will Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints specification manuals layouts and work instructions to determine machining operations.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances; measure lay out and verify workpieces using precision instruments (calipers gauges micrometers).
  • Set up and adjust Manual & CNC machine tools; troubleshoot and modify setups to meet required specifications.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure conformance to technical requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production cell.
  • Cross-train in complementary skills and support production requirements.
  • Support training and development of other technicians as needed.
  • Follow all applicable safety requirements and report unsafe conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with manual and CNC machining

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using production ERP or MRO systems to document labor hours materials and work instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with high accuracy and precision.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes tool design fabrication methods metallurgy and heat treating.
  • Experience working with welding hydraulics electricity or pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with production management systems and internal control processes.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to read understand and communicate specialized technical information.
