Job Summary
Operation of CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts load materials monitor machine performance and conduct quality checks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your machining skills under the guidance of senior machinists.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Safely load run and unload production parts on CNC machines according to set parameters.
- Basic Set-Ups: Assist with or perform basic machine set-ups including changing fixtures and tooling under supervision.
- Quality Inspection: Measure parts using precision tools (micrometers calipers) to ensure they meet exact blueprint specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep work areas clean.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and report machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance parts to senior staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 03 years of hands-on CNC operating experience.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with G-code and basic offsets is a plus.
- Tools: Experience using basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or technical certification in machining is preferred.
