Underclosesupervisionoperatesalimitednumber ofhandtoolsandshopequipment toperform routinemachining operationsinthe makingof parts.

• DeburringpartsBuffer-Tumbler-Under-Scope-Benchwork
• Performslesscompletemachineoperationsoralimitednumberofmachinetoolssuchas drill presses lathes powersaws shears grinders punchpresses honingmachines etc.
• Performsmachineoperationsundersupervisionandallworkis frequentlychecked.
• Willchangeand/orsharpencuttingtoolduringoperationsassupervised.
• Willbe required to maintaintolerances by the use ofdialindicatorsmicrometerspin gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Required to read/understand simple blueprints ( material requirementslimittolerances).
• Notifiesappropriatepersonnelofanyknownoperationorprocessirregularities.
• Maintainsequipmentfordailyuseandkeepsworkingareasafecleanandorderly.
• Willmakesimplesetupsundersupervision.
• ReadsunderstandsandadherestoShopSafetyRegulations.
• Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimumofsix(6)monthsorlessshopequipmentoperationexperience.
• Mustdemonstratemanualdexterity.
• Abletounderstand/followwrittenandverbalinstructions.
• Shop math requirements such as understanding high school mathematicsfamiliarly withandunderstanding measuringscalesandabletoconvertfractions todecimals.
