Machinist (1st Shift)

• Operate and maintain operation of CNC lathes mills and/or gear grinders as well as hand and power tools as required to perform job assignments.
• Replace worn inserts drills or tooling and adjust feed/speed rates.
• Complete work assignments and associated reports in a timely manner.
• Verify machine components with measuring instruments to ensure parts are made within tolerances.
• Operate powered industrial forklift and crane hoist to transfer and position materials as needed.
• Maintain a safe clean and well organized work area.

• Machining background - knowledge of and/or machining background. Programming experience and training is preferred. Experience programming in MasterCam and/or Gear Pro is a plus.
• Strong background to read understand and interpret prints with using measuring equipment in completing reports and documentation and ability to read and understand written directions and procedures.
• Machine shop environment background preferred.
• Self-motivated and willing to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime and alternate shifts when required
