Job Summary

Position Summary

Daniel Morgan Technology Center seeks an innovative industry-driven Machine Tool Technology Instructor to prepare high school students for high-demand careers in precision manufacturing CNC machining automation and advanced manufacturing. The instructor will provide engaging hands-on instruction using industry-standard equipment while fostering technical excellence workplace professionalism and durable skills.

The successful candidate will develop students knowledge of manual machining CNC programming and operation precision measurement CAD/CAM applications quality control blueprint reading metallurgy and manufacturing processes. The instructor will cultivate a classroom culture centered on safety innovation problem-solving and continuous improvement while preparing students to earn industry-recognized credentials and transition successfully into postsecondary education or the workforce.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma require
  2. Associates Degree or higher preferred in Manufacturing Technology (Machine Tool) education
  3. 5 years relevantoccupational experience
  4. Eligible for Career Education Certification by the StateDepartment of Education
  5. Strong orientation toward service to students
  6. Outstanding personal and professional characteristics

Essential Duties:

  1. Deliver engaging classroom and laboratory project-based instruction aligned with SC CTE standards.
  2. Teach courses that align with Machine shop safety precision measurement blueprint reading manual machining CNC milling and turning CAD/CAM software Metrology Manufacturing processes and Quality assurance
  3. Incorporate real-world manufacturing projects and work-based learning experiences
  4. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  5. Ensure OSHA 10 NIMS and other industry certifications compliance
  6. Maintain a safe organized and industry-standard machine shop
  7. Develop employability skills including communication teamwork leadership problem solving critical thinking and professionalism.
  8. Build industry partnerships and advisory board with local manufacturing companies
  9. Coordinate guest speakers industry tours and other learning opportunities with the machining pathway
