Machine Operator - Wire Cutter Operator - 1st Shift

Summary: Electronics manufacturer specializing in battery packs cables and wire harnesses. The wire cutting operator programs the tabletop wire cutting machine to cut wires to length per the instructions for each job. This is an entry level role and you will be taughthow to program the wire cutting machine read basic schematics and prints and to understand the wire cut list.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Follow the Wire Cut List in the Customer Product Folder to cut wire and cable for the quantity specified on the Work Order.
• Maintaining familiarity with packaging requirements that range from bulk to individual quantities for transit through the Rapport production facility during processing.
• Maintaining expertise in proper wire cutting and labeling techniques is required.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel.
• Ability to use inventory database (EVO-ERP).
• Working closely with the inventory control personnel and Production Manager and able to assist in production driven projects.
• Setting wire cutting priorities with COO and Production Manager.
• Maintaining familiarity with electronic components e.g. AWG standards.
• Responsible for notifying Account Manager(s) and Production Manager of component shortages.
• Will clarify/rectify any discrepancies or questions regarding the master BOM and product specifications with Production Manager and if necessary consultation with the customers Account Manager.
• In time can train others in wire cutting proficiency.
• Able to lift spools of wire and cable.
• May need to work on multiple work orders at the same time. You are expected to be flexible to stop and start work orders as requested.
• May be assigned to a team with others to complete a customer work order. Each team member is expected to learn all tasks assigned and to work respectfully with all team members. If one or more team members are not at work remaining team members are expected to continue the job.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Must be verydetail oriented able to do basic math and understand how to measure and read a ruler accurately.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Prefer basic machine operation experience but will train.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to bend twist walk and stand for entire shift and perform repetitive motions.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm (overtime if/as needed including some Saturdays)

PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour

LOCATION: Located in Golden near 44th and Ward Road
