Job Summary

Stable direct-hire Machine Operator positions are now open at our Bellefontaine facility. We are looking for reliable local talent to join our production floor immediately.

Important Note for Applicants: This role is for local candidates only. We do not offer relocation assistance. To be considered you must currently live within a 45- to 60-minute commuting radius of Bellefontaine (including Kenton Marysville Urbana and the Indian Lake area).

What You Will Do on the Job

  • Run & Adjust Equipment: Set up monitor and fine-tune production machinery to hit daily efficiency targets.
  • Inspect Quality: Use precision tools like calipers and gauges to check parts and record accurate SPC/measurement data.
  • Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials work-in-progress and finished products across the floor.
  • Track Data: Log production counts downtime and inspection results into computer tracking systems.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) safety rules and housekeeping standards.
  • Team Improvement: Work with your crew to spot opportunities for reducing waste and improving processes.

Minimum Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Experience: At least 1 full year of hands-on work in a manufacturing industrial or production environment (operating and setting up machinery).
  • Forklift Operation: Documented proven experience operating a forklift (certification is preferred but we accept verifiable on-the-job training).
  • Measurement Skills: Ability to read precise measuring instruments (fractions/decimals) and record the data accurately.
  • Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for data entry into production systems.
  • Physical Readiness: Must be able to stand bend and stoop for full shifts lift up to 20 lbs and wear required PPE (steel-toed boots hearing protection and safety glasses).

Preferred Background (A Plus Not Required)

  • Prior experience working in automotive manufacturing or with automotive-tier suppliers.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as IATF ISO 14001 or TQM systems.
