Machine Maintenance Technician

Location: Davenport IA

Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Monday Friday)

Pay Rate:$18.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience)

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (Eligible for permanent conversion after 90 days)

• Assisted Maintenance: Works under supervision to assist in the maintenance installation and repair of machinery fixtures utilities buildings and grounds.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Execute work orders using machine layouts plant schematics and detailed technical sketches.

• Equipment Operation: Safely handle a wide range of hand tools and portable power equipment.

• Team Projects: Partner with the broader maintenance crew during large-scale equipment reconfigurations and installations.

• Proven Background: At least 6 months in a manufacturing environment combined with 2 years of dedicated industrial machinery maintenance experience.

• Math & Technical Skills: Proficient with basic shop arithmetic (fractions/decimals) and reading simple mechanical drawings.

• Inspection Tools: Hands-on familiarity with precision measuring tools like calipers micrometers and scales.

• Reliability: A stable work history showcasing solid employment longevity.

• Screening: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

• Continuous physical movement and the ability to handle light-to-average weight materials regularly.

• Requires sharp situational awareness and steady mental focus to maintain safety in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
