Machine Maintenance Technician plays a hands-on highly technical role focused on keeping printing production machinery running safely efficiently and within manufacturing specifications. The position blends mechanical electrical and troubleshooting expertise and it supports clients highvolume print packaging and fulfillment operations. The role consistently involves maintaining complex highspeed industrial equipment used in printing finishing packaging and mailprocessing operations.

SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift 2:00pm to 10:00pm
PAY RATE: $29.50 hour
Core Responsibilities
- The technician maintains and repairs a wide range of mechanical and electromechanical equipment through systematic inspection troubleshooting and rootcause analysis. Daily work includes disassembling machines replacing worn or broken parts adjusting mechanical components and restoring equipment to operational standards. These tasks require interpreting diagrams schematics manuals and engineering specifications to ensure repairs meet production requirements.
- Technicians also clean and lubricate moving parts order replacement components and verify that completed repairs meet operational tolerances. They adapt tools materials and procedures to address unique equipment issues and often serve as a resource for resolving complex mechanical or electrical problems across the production floor.
You Will Work On
- Example includes - Sheet Fed Off Set Printing Machines - a high-speed commercial printing press
- The role consistently involves maintaining complex highspeed industrial equipment used in printing finishing packaging and mailprocessing operations.
- Mechanical production machinery such as cutters folders inserters bindery equipment and other printrelated machines that rely on gears shafts bearings and drive systems.
- Low Voltage electrical and electronic systems including wiring motors sensors relays and control circuits. Technicians diagnose electrical faults replace components and ensure safe operation.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related automation controls used to operate and sequence production equipment. This includes troubleshooting input/output issues and supporting electrical control installations. Example: Connecting a laptop to the printing machine and changing the IP Address.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: HS/GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3 years prior machine maintenance experience.
- Sheetfed Offset Printing Presses Preferred
- Highspeed manufacturing print bindery inserting packaging or fulfillment equipment - Preferred
- Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
- Experience with Diagnostic Tools like Digital multimeter (DMM) Clamp meter Continuity tester Noncontact voltage tester Logic probe (for PLC I/O checks) etc.
- Use of basic hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow diagrams schematics manuals instructions and engineering specifications.
