As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Private Duty Nurse at MedCare youll have the opportunity to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in a setting where children thrivetheir own homes. - Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid drivers license and current auto liability insurance
- Minimum of 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN required
- Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 812-hour shifts allowing them to remain safely with their families instead of an inpatient facility
- Care for children with serious illnesses medical complexities disabilities or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery
- Assess patient conditions during each visit including monitoring vital signs seizure activity and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes) tracheostomies CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians caregivers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
