Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services in a school-based setting located in Savannah Georgia.
The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to medically fragile students in accordance with established guidelines school procedures and standards of nursing practice.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license in Georgia.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Experience working with medically fragile students preferred.
Ability to perform physical duties including standing walking bending reaching lifting and assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities:
Direct monitoring of students health and wellness needs within the classroom and/or during school bus transportation.
Nebulization treatments.
Administer and dispensing medication as directed.
Accurate documentation according to board policy.
Trachea care.
Oxygen therapy with humidified air with compressor.
Wound care.
Provide nursing care for sudden illness or injury and assist with school health room coverage as needed.
Assist with student health screenings immunization record reviews and communicable disease control procedures.
Follow directions from the Districts Lead Nurse and school representatives.
Communicate professionally with school staff parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
Complete daily time/service logs as required.
Any other duties as assigned.
