Job Summary

Clinic Nurse at BMG Medical Arts Surgical Group

Provides patient care as directed and is accountable for own actions under provided direction. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy dignity and rights. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data.
• Assists in planning patient care.
• Implements patient care as directed.
• Assists with evaluating the plan of care.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Performs wound care and post-operative care.
• Provides pre- and post-operative teaching.
• Schedules surgical and ancillary procedures/tests.
• Assists physicians with surgical procedures in office.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

Minimum of two years in an outpatient clinic setting preferred.

Education

Accredited LPN training program completion.

Special Skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

Licensure

• Active unencumbered LPN license in the state of Mississippi
• BLS Certification Within 14 Days of Hire; LPN
