LPN Assisted LivingLocation: White Springs Senior LivingSchedule: PRNWhite Springs Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)for our Assisted Living team. Individuals are responsible for managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. They direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and help coordinate services to residents under the direction of the Resident Care Director. At times our med tech team members may be required to perform the duties of the Resident Assistant on an as needed take pride in fostering a warm family-like environment where residents feel valued respected and cared for. If you have a passion for working with seniors and strong leadership skills we invite you to join our team!TheSupervisor in Charge (SIC) LPN serves as the immediate supervisor of daily operations of the assigned shift and is responsible for managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. Also the SIC directs Resident Assistants (RAs) and Med Techs and helps coordinate services to residents under the direction of the Resident Care Director or designee (where applicable).JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Observe document and report to RCD any changes in residents conditionsAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting positioning transfer mobility and incontinence carePerform and document medical treatments and/or procedures according to state regulations and Spring Arbor policies and proceduresCommunicate with RCD residents physician and family members or responsible party a residents illness incident or injuryRespond to resident emergency call system promptlyAssist and orient residents at time of admissionDocument and review medication administrationRefer to residents charts and administer medications according to physicians ordersEnsure that medications are being administered at appropriate timesPerform and document blood sugar monitoring and administration of insulin per physicians ordersConduct and document Controlled Drug Count at the beginning and end of shiftOrder residents medications in a timely mannerTranscribe and carry out physicians orders adhering to policies and proceduresCommunicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents medications treatments and/or therapiesSee full job description for additional job :High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust be at least 21 years old unless prior approval from Regional DirectorLPN RequiredAbility to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or othersAbility to work well with others and promote a team-oriented environment
