Low Voltage Technician
Job Summary
Responsible for installing maintaining and repairing A/V and security infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite as well as provide excellent customer service.
Essential Job Functions
- Installs A/V and security equipment per the plans provided for the specific application.
- Maintain professional attitude with emphasis on safety and customer service.
- Hang mount rack install and rig equipment per plans and specifications.
- Read and Interpret manuals construction drawings wiring diagrams floorplans and specifications .
- Properly sets up a variety of testers (fiber and copper).
- Performs system testing and troubleshooting as required.
- Terminates labels tests and troubleshoots optical fiber and copper installations.
- Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly.
- Builds closets (Mount and install backboards cross connects racks patch panels fiber optic and hardware).
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and managing materials and tools.
- Responsible for completing daily timesheets and job documentation.
- Other duties assigned by management
Required Job Skills
- Able to lift heavy objects work on construction sites
- Able to use hand tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips) drywall saw torpedo level tape measure snips (with belt sheath) pliers (needle nose and channel locks) hammer wrench set cable stripper flashlight and gloves
- Punctual and Dependable

- Able to distinguish color codes
- 1 years construction cablingA/V or physical security experience preferred

- High School Diploma/ GED equivalency
