Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to assist with the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in commercial and residential environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work problem-solving and working in fast-paced job site environments. Travel to client locations and job sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Install configure and maintain low voltage systems including data cabling security systems access control CCTV cameras audio/visual equipment and network devices
• Pull route terminate and test low voltage cabling such as Cat5e Cat6 fiber and coaxial cable
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity equipment and system issues
• Read and follow blueprints wiring diagrams and technical instructions
• Perform routine inspections testing and maintenance of installed systems
• Assist with equipment setup mounting and system integration
• Travel to client locations and job sites to perform installations and service calls
• Maintain tools equipment and inventory of materials and supplies
• Communicate professionally with customers contractors and team members
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards during installations and service work
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in low voltage telecommunications AV installation electrical work or related field preferred
• Basic knowledge of low voltage systems cabling networking and electronic equipment
• Experience using hand tools power tools and testing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to lift carry and move equipment and materials
• Comfortable working on ladders in ceilings and in various job site environments
• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job locations as needed
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong communication teamwork and customer service skills
• Dependable detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
