Description

The love is respect Intern will serve as a love is respect Operations and Youth Engagement Coordinator supporting our Youth Council focused on promoting healthy relationships disrupting dating abuse and increasing awareness among high school and college students.


The internship combines project management communications youth engagement social media strategy data reporting and program evaluation. The intern will gain practical experience coordinating youth-led initiatives facilitating stakeholder meetings developing educational materials measuring program impact and supporting community outreach efforts.


The intern will work closely with the love is respect Youth Council members community partners and educational institutions to strengthen programming and engagement throughout the academic year.

This position is a part-time role and requires in-person work at our Austin office.

Compensation: $20 per hour


Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate Youth Council meetings including scheduling calendars agendas invitations and attendance tracking.
  • Prepare meeting agendas record meeting minutes and distribute documentation within established timelines.
  • Track action items follow up on deliverables and maintain project timelines.
  • Support project management activities to ensure successful execution of Youth Council initiatives.
  • Assist in developing presentations and educational materials for youth schools community partners and organizational leadership.
  • Create educational content focused on healthy relationships dating abuse disruption consent boundaries digital safety and bystander intervention.
  • Collect analyze and report program data including participation event attendance surveys outreach efforts and social media engagement.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to measure program outcomes and support continuous improvement.
  • Support Youth Council leadership development engagement activities recognition initiatives and youth-led awareness campaigns.
  • Coordinate communication with Youth Council members schools community partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating educational events workshops and outreach activities.
  • Develop and maintain social media content calendars and create awareness campaign content.
  • Monitor and report on social media performance and audience engagement.
  • Conduct research gather feedback and provide recommendations to improve program operations and youth engagement.
  • Maintain organized project documentation templates and program resources.
  • Assist with special projects and other program-related duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Public Relations Business Administration Public Health Social Work Psychology or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing a masters degree preferred.
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Canva and social media platforms is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Passion for youth engagement healthy relationships violence prevention or community education.
  • Commitment to professionalism confidentiality and inclusive communication.

Other Requirements/Working Conditions

  • This position is in-person based in our Austin Texas office and requires availability for 2025 hours per week.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive agency information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work in a desk-based environment including prolonged periods of sitting or standing while using a computer phone and keyboard.
