Job Summary

Title: Long Term Substitute - Spanish Teacher

Assignment:8/19 through 12/14

Location: Winnetka Campus

Supervisor: MCL Department Chair/ Coordinator

Compensation: $77.85/ full block


Assignment Details:

This is a full first-semester long-term substitute assignment for four Spanish classes at the Winnetka Campus teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 3.


Substitute Teachers at New Trier High School:

  • Provide an environment conducive to a positive learning experience.
  • Are able to use technology toenhance instruction.
  • Possess exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and distinctly with staff and students.
  • Are able to move about frequently in the classroom and in various other parts of the school.
  • Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the New Trier Substitute Teacher Handbook

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License or Substitute License registered in North Cook Intermediate Service Center Region 05.

Mandatory Training Requirement:

Upon hiring all substitutes must attend mandatory training and complete required online training prior to being placed in a classroom. Only individuals who are officially hired and on the approved list may attend training sessions.
