VACANCY DESCRIPTION:Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) is seeking a candidate for the upcoming 2026-27 school year in our Elementary School to teach Five-Year-Old Kindergarten as a long-term substitute. Mount Horeb Christian Schools 4K-8th grade campus includes four classrooms of grades K 1st-2nd 3rd-4th and 5th-8th. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes skills and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature able and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) was founded in 2019 to serve the town of Mount Horeb and the surrounding communities. Our school provides a safe caring and Christ-centered environment for students in grades K-8 as well as 3K and 4K preschool programs. MHCS is proud to be one of 23 schools that are affiliated with Impact Christian Schools.

Mount Horeb is just fifteen minutes west of Madison WI and holds a world of small-town charm and hospitality in each part of their community.

• The teacher shall be a mature sincere Christ follower who feels called by God to the teaching profession.
• Must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must holdorbe eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ACSI Certified Teacher.
• State of Wisconsin certifiedTeacher.
• Three to five years of classroom teaching experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Long-term substitute pay is $20/hour ($160/day)
• This position is covering a maternity leave and will be approximately between August 17th through November 30th.
