Long Term Sub 8th Grade Math

Summary
Albany Area Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Long Term Substitute for 8th Grade Math up to 12 weeks.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the 8th-grade math curriculum and state standards.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests quizzes and assignments providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a growth mindset.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and other required documentation.
- Provide additional support and resources for students who may need extra help or enrichment.
- Uphold school policies and procedures ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- Valid teaching certification or substitute license eligible in Minnesota.
- Preferred experience teaching middle school students preferably in a math-related subject.
- Ability to quickly learn technology teaching practices and follow standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
- Background check and clearance as required by school district policies.
