Logistics Intern

Position Summary

Vertiv is seeking a Logistics Intern to support the Transportation team with data analysis reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the Americas region. This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation operations logistics analytics carrier management and supply chain processes.

The intern will work closely with Logistics Procurement Operations and other cross-functional teams to help improve operations visibility data quality and transportation performance. This role is ideal for a student interested in supply chain management logistics data analytics and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting analyzing and consolidating logistics data including freight spend carrier performance and service metrics.
• Help develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to support transportation performance management.
• Partner with Logistics Procurement Operations Master Data and other stakeholders on process improvement and reporting activities.
• Support carrier performance monitoring and reporting related to delivery transit times capacity and transportation costs.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on operational efficiency and process standardization.
• Create and maintain process documentation work instructions and training materials.
• Present findings and recommendations to logistics team members and stakeholders as appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Engineering Data Analytics Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn logistics and transportation operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Coursework or project experience involving data analysis logistics supply chain or operations management.
• Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• English language proficiency required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Engineering Data Science/Analytics Computer Science or a related field.
• Rising junior senior or graduate student preferred.
