Logistics Coordinator, Global Transportation & Logistics

The Global Transportation & Logistics (GTL) team is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to support daily North America transportation operations in service of Tech Supply Chain customers and Global RAD this role you will be the operational backbone of outbound transportation execution scheduling palletized freight shipments and small parcel packages tracking shipments in transit resolving exceptions and delays and ensuring every delivery meets our customer promise.

You will work directly with carriers customer service teams and RAD Operations shipping teams to coordinate daily pickup projections set customer delivery appointments investigate shipment inquiries and identify transportation consolidation opportunities that reduce cost while protecting service quality. You will provide solutions for customers by proactively resolving shipping exceptions recommending optimal service levels and ensuring every delivery commitment is met. This role requires someone who can balance customer obsession with frugality making smart service-level decisions on every shipment while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
Transportation Scheduling & Execution
- Schedule and coordinate both less than truckload and full truckload palletized freight shipments and small parcel packages across North America fulfillment locations
- Use multiple carrier platforms and shipping systems to generate labels book shipments and confirm carrier pickups
- Rate quote customer shipping requests and make service-level decisions balancing customer obsession and frugality
- Identify transportation consolidation opportunities to optimize cost and reduce shipment volume

Shipment Tracking & Exception Management

- Track shipments in transit from origin to destination monitoring status across parcel LTL and ground networks
- Action shipments with exceptions and delays escalating with carriers and customer service teams to drive resolution
- Conduct shipment inquiries file freight claims and support customer shipment investigations providing timely updates to stakeholders
- Troubleshoot shipping errors and resolve issues end-to-end escalating complex problems when necessary

Customer Experience & Delivery Support

- Provide customer experience support by setting and managing customer delivery appointments when required
- Communicate daily pickup projections and volume forecasts to carriers to ensure capacity alignment
- Support RAD Operations shipping teams with transportation coordination and shipment execution needs

Carrier & Stakeholder Communication

- Communicate professionally via email and phone with parcel LTL and FTL transportation providers
- Serve as the transportation liaison between GTL RAD Operations and cross-functional partners
- Maintain carrier compliance records including arrival and departure times for scorecard development
- Coordinate with business partners stakeholders and peers to ensure seamless daily operations

Global Transportation & Logistics (GTL) is the logistics solutions execution arm supporting the Global RAD Operations business across North America. We manage multi-modal transportation in support of Amazon internal customers parcel LTL FTL flatbed and auto transport. Our team operates with customer obsession and solutions mindset at the core balancing service quality with cost optimization every day. We are a collaborative fast-paced team that values ownership communication and continuous improvement.

- High school or equivalent
- 1 years of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook) experience
- Can lift up to 49 pounds stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and be able to frequently push pull squat bend and reach
- Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
- 1 years of transportation and supply chain experience

- 2 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Experience using tracking platforms for high volume customer shipments investigating shipment exceptions delays and customer inquiries
- 2 years of experience in transportation coordination freight scheduling or logistics operations
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) carrier platforms or shipping software
- Experience scheduling both palletized freight (LTL/FTL) and small parcel shipments
- Experience investigating shipment exceptions delays and customer inquiries

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
