Summary
The Logistics Assistant II will be responsible for assisting in the logistics process to meet all necessary requirements including government contracts related paperwork expediting and coordinating shipments based on customers this role the Logistics Assistant II will closely collaborate with internal departments of Supply Chain and Operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and on-time-delivery to customers prioritizing request to meet critical deadlines and program timelines.
- Ensure that all hazmat shipments are properly identified packaged and documented.
- Process shipments in MRP and identify any clear any issues that may impact shipment confirmation.
- Effectively manage and prioritize logistics tasks per customer needs in a complex and dynamic environment supporting the needs of multiple programs.
- Process incoming RMAs in MRP system and see the process through completion.
- Responsible for AES filing and export documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics business administration or related field is required or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within regulated environment (aerospace defense)
- Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
- Experience working with government contracts or defense-related programs preferred.
- Proven experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software systems (Oracle)
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
- Familiarity with export compliance and international shipping regulations.
- Able to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment where small teams share a broad variety of duties
- Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
- Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
- Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself others and the company

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and office environment (Constant)
- Required to sit and stand for long periods (Frequent); talk hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
Clearance Level
The salary range for this role is:
$22 - $33AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the location the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience education/training and key skills.
