LOGISTICS ANALYST (TRANSPORTATION & SUPPLY CHAIN) TEMP ROLE
Position Summary
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing transportation operations analyzing supply chain performance supporting carrier relationships and driving continuous improvement initiatives across inbound and outbound logistics networks. This role partners closely with distribution centers transportation providers store operations and internal stakeholders to optimize service cost and efficiency.
The ideal candidate combines strong transportation knowledge with analytical skills and can use data to identify issues develop solutions and improve operational performance.
Core Responsibilities
Transportation Operations
Manage and monitor freight movement across multiple transportation modes
Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance
Support routing scheduling capacity planning and equipment management
Track shipment status and resolve transportation disruptions
Manage relationships with carriers distribution centers and operational partners
Analytics & Reporting
Develop and maintain KPI reporting and scorecards
Analyze transportation and supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities
Build forecasts for transportation volume and capacity requirements
Create reporting tools that support operational decision-making
Measure project performance cost savings and service improvements
Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance analysis reporting forecasting and decision-making
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
Support transportation and supply chain optimization initiatives
Develop recommendations to improve service levels and reduce costs
Document processes and support best-practice implementation
Participate in cross-functional projects involving logistics distribution and business intelligence teams
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with distribution centers carriers stores and leadership teams
Communicate transportation plans service issues and operational updates
Assist in training operational teams on transportation processes and best practices
