Locum Physician Hematology Oncology

The practice is seeking a locum tenens provider to fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Provide oversight of a Nurse Practitioner (NP).

- Exhibit willingness and interest in enrolling patients in clinical research studies.

- Cover on-call responsibilities as needed.

**Coverage Details:**- Dates: Weekly coverage from Monday to Friday on the following weeks: July 27-31 and August 10-14.

- Practice Environment: Primarily inpatient care with some outpatient coverage to accommodate physician leave.

- Patient Demographics: Adult patient population.

- Average Daily Patient Volume (Hospital): 12-15 patients.

- Clinical Focus: Oncology (both inpatient and outpatient settings) and Hematology.

- EMR/Documentation System: EPIC.

**Shift Hours:**- Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

**Qualifications Required:**- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology.

- Active Virginia Medical License.

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Clean background check essential for temporary positions.

- A Self-Query National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) report must be presented at the time of application.
