Locum PA (Physician's Assistant) Orthopedic Surgery

This contract position is on-site and offers a unique chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum PA in orthopedic surgery you will play a vital role in assisting orthopedic surgeons with pre-operative and post-operative care conducting patient assessments and helping in the surgical environment. This position allows you to engage with a diverse patient population and work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals all while making a significant impact on patient outcomes.

• Assist in the evaluation and management of orthopedic patients
• Conduct physical examinations and assess patient conditions
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to develop treatment plans
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
• Educate patients and families on orthopedic procedures and recovery
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Perform minor surgical procedures under supervision
• Participate in patient rounds and assist in the operating room

• Associate degree with PA certification
• Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and medical knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Team-oriented with a strong commitment to patient care

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts specific dates
