Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Trauma Surgery

This on-site contract position is based in the vibrant community of Myrtle Beach where you will contribute to our dynamic medical practice.

In this essential role you will support trauma surgery operations working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality care to our patients ensuring they receive the best treatment during critical times. • Assist in trauma surgery procedures as directed by supervising surgeon
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
• Perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Participate in on-call rotations as necessary
• Stay updated on best practices and advancements in trauma care

• Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
• Current licensure to practice as an NP or PA in the state of South Carolina
• Experience in trauma surgery or critical care preferred
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-stress environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in electronic medical records systems
• Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Level I Trauma

Schedule: 6a-6p specific dates

No call

Duties: Rounding consults ICU ER and OR coverage

First assist would be helpful but is not required

Support Staff: APPs MAs

EMR: eCW

Must be board-certified

ATLS required
