Job Summary

Coverage is required for a facility from December 1 2026 through mid to late January 2027. Following January the scheduling specifics are still being finalized but there will be an ongoing need for coverage.

**Practice Type:** Hospital

**Number of Hospitals for Locum Coverage:** 2

**Patient Population:** Predominantly adult with light pediatric experience required. Specifically locum providers should not handle surgical cases for children under three years old except for labor and delivery (L&D) and neonatal care. Trauma experience is required.

**Average Patient Volume:** 7-10 patients per day

**Procedural Requirements:** The locum must be skilled in both local and general anesthesia including blocks and epidurals.

**Work Dynamics:** The locum will operate under the status of Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) in Wyoming. An anesthesiology physician will not be on-site at all times and while solo work is infrequent the locum may be expected to work independently during on-call periods.

**Anesthesia Provider Staffing:** Typically there are 3-4 anesthesia providers (CRNAs and/or MDA/DOA) available per day.

**Start Date:** As soon as credentialing is completed; potential to begin as early as mid-May.

**End Date:** Coverage is expected to continue through at least 2026 with the possibility of extending into 2027.

**Surgical Types Performed at the Facility:**

- Cardiac: No - Comprehensive Orthopedic: Yes

- Complex Vascular: No

- Head & Spine: Spine surgeries no cranial

- Neurological: Yes - Obstetrics: Yes

- Pediatric: Yes primarily in L&D and ENT -

Regional: Yes - Thoracic: No

**Regular Shift Schedule (Monday-Friday):

** CRNAs typically work from 7 AM to 1 PM contingent on workload.

**Overtime Rate (Monday-Friday):** The facility (MHCC/SMC) guarantees a minimum of 32 hours with no overtime compensation.
