COMPLIANCE NOTES

  • Registry Personnel must bring a state or federal issued identification to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
  • Every other weekend required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders and facility protocols
  • Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway management equipment
  • Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests arterial blood gas analysis and related diagnostics
  • Assess patient respiratory status and respond to clinical changes across all patient populations
  • Set up and maintain oxygen therapy aerosol therapy and other respiratory modalities
  • Document treatments patient responses and clinical findings accurately in the EMR
  • Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rapid response events as required
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team on respiratory care plans

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • Active state Respiratory Therapist licence (Virginia RRT/CRT) - current and in good standing
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) - current
  • ACLS certification - current or ability to obtain prior to start
