Respiratory Therapist - Local Travel Contract

Local Travel Contract Norfolk VA 23502 Night Shift

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

SHIFTS / AVAILABILITY

Shift Period	19:00 07:00 (12-hour nights)
Days	Scheduled rotation - every other weekend required

Registry Personnel must bring a state or federal issued identification to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
Every other weekend required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders and facility protocols
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway management equipment
Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests arterial blood gas analysis and related diagnostics
Assess patient respiratory status and respond to clinical changes across all patient populations
Set up and maintain oxygen therapy aerosol therapy and other respiratory modalities
Document treatments patient responses and clinical findings accurately in the EMR
Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rapid response events as required
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team on respiratory care plans

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

Active state Respiratory Therapist licence (Virginia RRT/CRT) - current and in good standing
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) - current
ACLS certification - current or ability to obtain prior to start
