Metricis looking for anexperiencedCivilEngineer to beour nextLocal Infrastructure Leadbased out of ourSan Antonio TX leadership role is ideal for a professional with 10 years of experience in local infrastructure public works or site development who is ready to take ownership of projects build a high-performing team and help expand Metrics presence across the San Antonio region and throughout Texas.
This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape and grow a local team while delivering impactful infrastructure projects that serve our communities.Thelead willwork closely with Texas leadership to drive business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Overseecomplex projectsfor the design and delivery of public works municipal roadways trails drainage utilities and/orsite development projects.
- Develop detailed project scopes budgets schedules and execution plansand QA/QC oversight
- Monitor project performance manage risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
Client & StakeholderEngagement
- Serve as a trustedpartnerto clients and public entities throughout the San Antonio/Austinregion.
- Lead project meetings client presentations and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Support proposal development RFQs and business development initiatives.
TeamDevelopment& Mentorship
- Build and grow the local infrastructure team in San Antonio (and support Austin as needed).
- Supervise engineers engineers-in-training (EITs) and CAD designers.
- Provide mentorship technical guidance and career development supportand engagein industry organizations.
Technical Oversight
- Apply advanced technical expertise to ensure project-specific standards and best practices are met.
- Manage design productionusing relevant software includingAutoCAD Civil 3Dorrelated tools as part of project executionand plan development.
- Oversee budget tracking resource allocation and overall project profitability.
WhatYouBring:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (additional state licensure a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public works utilities municipal roadway drainage trails or site development design.
- Strong project management administration and supervision experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with San Antonio-area public agencies.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple offices.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency preferred
