Are you ready to be a part of our journeyThe P&D Driver safely picks up and delivers freight throughout the local service area while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include operating material-handling equipment inspecting and documenting shipments maintaining accurate paperwork and electronic records and safely handling freight in varying weather and business :Responsible for operating equipment and moving freight in a safe and efficient manner using forklift pallet jack hand truck etc. Responsible for noting and recording exception in count or condition of shipments to minimize cargo claims. Responsible for multiple deliveries to customers while providing high levels of customer service within the Oak Harbor network. Maintain required information throughout the use of electronic devices. Management of paperwork: i.e. check of accuracy and completion of delivery receipts bills of lading trailer manifests counting freight accuracy of hazardous material shipments special loading and handling instructions. Responsible decision-making skills to maximize efficiency while maintaining customer expectations. Ability to meet the Companys reliability standard for employees; to include to chain as needed and work in inclement weather preferred. Availability to work various shifts as needed to accommodate business levels. Ability to travel to nearby terminals. Other duties as assigned Requirements:At least 21 years oldClass A least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar DOT Medical have a clean driving record. No DUI reckless driving or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 to effectively communicate with customers co-workers and dispatch/ English proficiency in reading writing and verbal but not required:Hazmat Tanker and Double/Triples endorsements we require within 45 days of hiringDoubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not :Medical dental vision You choose which plan suits you and our pays up to 2% of gross and Family pays up to 4% of gross income.401K match of 100% on the first 5% 80 hours of PTO within the first 11 pay after your 90 phone Harbor Freight Lines is an Equal Opportunity Employer
