The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Reviews legal and administrative documentsof all new renewed and increased loans to ensurethat they support the approved loan structure.
- Before loan funding is allowed determines the level of waiver action required when documentation deficiencies are discovered.
- Using a computer system monitors all existing documentation deficiencies and the receipt of time-sensitive documentation during the term of all loans.
- Reviews all trailing documentation to ensure it is properly executed and recorded if appropriate.
- Reports the status of documentation deficiencies to account officers and management using the loan documentation units computer systems report capabilities.
- Interacts with legal and account officers to clarify unfamiliar or questionable loan documentation.
- Reviews appropriate documentation files and records for selected existing loans to determine compliance with established bank and legal guidelines.
- Prepares summary reports of each existing loan audited for review by division and appropriate senior management.
- Develops and recommends new procedures and operational controls to protect loan documentation and customer information.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Knowledge of personal and commercial loan documentation usually acquired through previous experience in loan documentation is required to review loan documentation.
- Knowledge of commercial banking systems usually acquired through experience is required to extract information from various systems for analysis.
- Analytical and computer skills are required to analyze documentation identify deficiencies prepare reports and work with system databases.
- 2 years loan documentation or related experience.
