Litigation Paralegal

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani a national law firm with offices in all 50 States has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal in its Hartford CT office. The ideal candidate must have 3 years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal.

Qualifications:

• Experience in litigation support and case management.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases remaining flexible proactive resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience drafting and organizing discovery both written discovery and document production.
• Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
• Familiarity with Connecticut State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures; knowledge of Massachusetts Rules is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail organizational and technical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate professionally productively and efficiently with clients contacts attorneys other paralegals and all other professional staff.
• Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies and supporting preparations for hearings depositions and mediations.
• Review gather and organize client documents from production to discovery.
• Research organize and summarize records as needed to assist in data gathering including organizing information and documents in databases.
• Assist in trial preparation including drafting pre-trial pleadings preparing exhibits and live trial support.
• Other duties as assigned.
