Job Summary
Rothwell Figg seeks a Litigation Paralegal with 5 years of litigation experience preferably in the area of patent litigation who must be able to handle all aspects of complex litigations from pre-litigation phase through trial and appeal. Successful candidates must have applicable knowledge of federal district court rules and procedures litigation terminology and documentation and docketing procedures; strong organizational and analytical skills; the ability to set priorities and multi-task; and excellent interpersonal verbal and written communications skills. Candidates must be computer proficient with experience and working knowledge of Lexis Westlaw and other litigation-research databases. IP litigation (federal courts) PTAB and/or ITC experience is a plus. This position requires flexibility to work overtime as needed and some travel may be required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organizing and maintaining case files and databases on a daily basis;
- Maintaining case dockets and advising attorneys of due dates;
- Organizing and coordinating document retrieval and review projects;
- Performing basic legal and factual research;
- Assisting in the preparation of pleadings exhibits written discovery and production documents for motions discovery hearings and trials;
- Cite checking and proofreading pleadings and other documents;
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of a case from pre-litigation through trial and appeal;
- Ability to work independently with a strong attention to details; and
- Maintaining up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing.
