Location: Los Angeles CA. This role begins on-site as you get up to speed with hybrid/remote flexibility available thereafter. Expect regular court appearances and site inspections throughout the Los Angeles area ideal for an attorney who wants to stay active in the courtroom.

Note: Applicants must be licensed with the California State Bar and have 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience including trial experience. Candidates without active CA bar admission or trial experience will not be considered.

Job Description

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution including insurance defense and civil matters
• Represent clients in court hearings depositions mediations arbitrations and trials throughout the Los Angeles area
• Conduct site inspections witness interviews and case investigations as needed
• Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery and other litigation documents with precision and efficiency
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and clients
• Maintain clear proactive communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of each matter
• Apply construction defect defense knowledge where applicable (a strong differentiator for this role)

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license required
• 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience required
• Trial experience required
• Construction defect defense experience preferred
• Strong analytical drafting and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating within a team
• Comfortable with in-person court appearances and site visits throughout the LA area
