Position Overview

Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Columbus Ohio office. This position focuses on business and employment litigation matters and is well-suited for an attorney with 4 to 6 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to independently manage a diverse caseload contribute to client relationships and grow their practice in a collaborative team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned caseload of business and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of the legal practice.
• Appear regularly in court conferences arbitrations mediations and depositions as an experienced trial attorney.
• Lead all aspects of litigation strategy including drafting pleadings drafting and responding to written discovery preparing motions negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients and insurers providing regular case updates strategic assessments and litigation plans throughout the matter lifecycle.
• Provide sound legal advice and strategic counsel to clients at all stages of the litigation process.

Qualifications

• Associate with 4-6 years of experience handling civil litigation matters.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license in good standing with the Ohio Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
• Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
• Exceptional attention to detail strong writing and legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
• Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
• Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems.
