Line Cook

POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you want to be part of an Authentic Award-Winning and Legendary BBQ Team Do you want to develop the skills of a Famous Pit MasterWe are looking for team players who have the desire to learn about our in-house smoked made from scratch recipes and wants to serve up Famous Food! Line Cooks ensure our Guests receive the Famous experience they expect from our food with each delicious bite. Youll also make sure that food safety standards are followed. Famous Daves expects you to be punctual to support your fellow Team Members when we are smokin busy and complete side duties that include but may not be limited to preparing food monitor ticket times and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare menu items according to Famous Daves recipes plate presentations and specifications within cook time requirements
• Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills deep-fat fryers smokers ovens stoves and dishwashers
• Complete all assigned prep work
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
• Set up work station
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
• Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Previous Line Cook or cooking experience preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must have the ability to lift carry push pull pots pans etc. up to 50 pounds in weight
• Ability to place plates utensils pans and cases on high and low shelves
• Mobility required during the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
