Line Cook Scratch Kitchen

Tuckers Italian is hiring a full-time line cook.

Starting pay is $15$16 per hour.

Tuckers is a scratch-made Southern Italian kitchen. We bake our bread in-house make handmade pasta cure our own meats and cook over a wood-fired grill. We are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Schedule

Morning shifts can begin as early as 6:00 AM and end around 1:30 PM but are more commonly around 8:00 AM3:00 PM. Evening shifts are generally around 2:00 PM10:00 PM with some mid-shifts. Closing should generally be finished by about 10:3011:00 PM.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepping food for service
• Long-term projects such as curing and smoking meats
• Small-item butchery
• Working the line during one or more meal periods
• Scheduled deep cleaning

Knife skills are a plus but we are willing to train the right person.

This is a scratch kitchen serving traditional Southern Italian food. The cooking is serious but it is not intended to be fancy. A cook here has the opportunity to work with bread handmade pasta meat curing butchery prep and live service rather than simply reheating prepared products.

Family meal is provided every shift.
