Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospitals (Mercy Medical Center Mt. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations including X-rays ultrasound diagnostic fluoroscopy CT/CAT scans and MRIs while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To be successful in this role you will deeply understand diagnostic imagings critical importance encompassing expertise in workflow patient positioning and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Assesses the health status of patients as assigned. Organizes data to assure completeness accuracy accessibility and confidentiality. Communicate data in an acceptable and timely manner to the practitioner per departmental standards. Demonstrates competency to assess age specific needs of patients.
  • Performs and documents patient procedures as ordered by practitioner in accordance with accepted practice and protocol.
  • Maintains stock of office supplies patient supplies and Medication as needed. Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintains knowledge of resource materials such as medical dictionary policy/procedure manual employee handbooks and organizational chart. Complies with policy and procedure manual of the clinic.
  • Provides a calm reassuring atmosphere and communicates effectively with patients staff physicians and other guests
  • Performs procedures according to the organizational policies and procedures
Job Requirements

Required:

  • Graduate of approved school of radiologic technology
  • Limited Radiologic Technologist: CA
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
