Job Summary

Life Skills TrainerPart-time EVENING or OVERNIGHT Life Skills Trainer/CaregiverEvening shift: 4:00 pm to 12:00 amOvernight shift: 12:00 am to 8:00 amSalary Range: $19.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience Valid CA drivers license requiredOrange CANeuroRestorative facility located on Santiago Canyon RoadResidential setting 6-bed facility & Adult Day ProgramOn demand pay via Dayforce WalletResponsibilities:Take basic vitals such as heart rate temperature and blood pressureProvide training assistance and supervision to individuals receiving care in the areas of living skills therapeutic recreation and other forms of assistance in both residential and community with daily activities such as meal preparation personal hygiene shopping cleaning and medication water temperature as required when assisting with bathing; participates in safety drills and protects persons being served in the event of or supports individuals to prepare food in accordance with planned menus and individual choice; knows special diets and prepares individual meals accordingly; monitors mealtime and correctly implements any dining accompany individuals to medical appointments; relays orders and information to and from medical providers as assigned accurately administers and documents delivery of medications and treatments; promptly reports administration errors; maintains appropriate security of controlled medications and other medications and the working relationships between employers and individuals served and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings or providing transportation to work or other closely with our clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in daily and seasonal housekeeping as directed; maintains neat clean and safe environment; reports hazards or safety environmental safety and may make minor repairs change light bulbs etc.; may perform yard maintenance including keeping walkways safe and snow removal; reports equipment or facilities requiring repairs to supervisor or maintenance personnel as other related duties and activities as requiredQualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalentValid CA drivers license Six months to one year of experience in the human services fieldMust be minimum of 21 years of ageSuccessful clearance of background checksA caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others Strong attention to detail organizational skills and effective communication skillsA reliable responsible attitude and a compassionate approachA commitment to quality in everything you doCome join our amazing team of committed and caring professionals.
