Job Summary
Avondale House is seeking energetic compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Adult Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) Day Program as a Life Skills Coach. In this rewarding role you will support adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in developing independence building meaningful life skills and actively engaging in their communities.

What Youll Do
As a Life Skills Coach your day will include:
- Providing individualized coaching and support with daily living skills including personal hygiene meal preparation household tasks social skills and community participation.
- Implementing engaging activities that promote positive behavior personal growth and enrichment.
- Supporting participants in developing communication skills social interactions and community engagement.
- Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health-related needs in accordance with individual care plans.
- Collecting and documenting participant progress behavioral observations and service outcomes accurately and consistently.
- Safely transporting participants to activities and community outings while fostering positive and educational experiences.
- Collaborating with families caregivers and multidisciplinary team members to provide individualized person-centered support.
- Facilitating skill-building opportunities across a variety of settings to encourage independence self-advocacy and confidence.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Autism Spectrum Disorder or related conditions is required.
- Previous experience in caregiving home and community-based services or direct support roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or alternative communication methods is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record required.
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care and medication administration.
- Background in behavioral health social work psychology or a related field is beneficial.
