What Youll Do as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Surgical & Anesthesia Expertise
- Prepare patients for surgery using aseptic and sterile techniques
- Induce monitor and recover patients under anesthesia with a high level of accuracy and vigilance
- Monitor vital parameters and adjust anesthetic protocols as directed
- Ensure safe efficient surgical flow and maintain a sterile surgical suite
Clinical & Technical Skills
- Perform phlebotomy IV catheter placement radiology and in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications via oral subcutaneous and intravenous routes
- Accurately document treatments anesthesia logs and patient records
Patient Care & Advocacy
- Provide attentive monitoring of pre-op and post-op patients
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition quickly and effectively
- Deliver compassionate low-stress handling and care
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked treatment and surgical environment
What Were Looking For:
- Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Georgia
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Successful completion of the VTNE
- 2 years of hands-on clinical experience with a strong emphasis on surgery and anesthesia
